Along the way, admire exceptional monuments: the Salmon, Cabilière, de l’hôpital and du figuier gates, the monumental staircase that pilgrims climbed on their knees, the Saint-Amadour crypt (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the Saint-Sauveur basilica, the Saint-Blaise, Sainte-Anne, Saint-Jean-Baptiste, Saint-Michel and Notre-Dame chapels.

A MARIAN CITY AND PILGRIMAGE SITE
 
Located in the heart of the Haut-Quercy region, Rocamadour has been a renowned pilgrimage site since the 12th century. Visited since the Middle Ages, over the centuries the Marian city has welcomed many “roumieux”, famous and anonymous, such as Blanche de Castille, Henry II of England and Louis IX of France, Saint Bernard and Saint Dominique, who came to venerate the tomb of Saint Amadour and the Black Madonna.

The caves of Rocamadour
